STEVEN H. ALLEN, LEED AP

Steve is the former Director of the Sustainable Technologies Department of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada (UA). Steve has over 40 years experience as an HVACR Service Technician and HVACR educator. He works with HVACR Manufacturers, Contractors Associations, and Career Technical Schools to develop classroom and web-based HVACR certificate and degree programs that lead to employment. He is the developer of the UA STAR Testing and Certification program, and was the Refrigeration Expert and Competitor Judge representing the United States at the 2007 World Skills Competition in Shizuoka, Japan. Steve has a Masters Degree in Education with a Certification in Instructional Technology.

The Green Mechanical Council is a member of the Western HVAC Performance Alliance.

Steve is a member of the following WHPA committees;

• HVAC Quality Installation/Quality Maintenance Committee Workforce Education and Training Subcommittee
• HVAC in Whole Building Performance Committee Education Subcommittee
